THE MISERY OF SIN



O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? Romans 7:24


Misery is an inseparable component and consequence of sin. The word "misery" implies great unhappiness, extreme pain of heart and trouble of mind. 




Does this depict your present state? 

Apostle Paul in the scripture once experienced that. Here's what he said;

For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. Romans 7: 9,11

A life spent in sin is full of misery. 

That life of stealing, lust, bribery, prostitution, pornography and lying has nothing to offer you but restlessness and a troubled heart.  It may look enjoyable at first, but on the longrun sorrow evolves.

Paul cried out in the scriptures;

For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 
Romans 7:15-17,19-20

A sinner has no control of himself, until he surrenders to Jesus to be his Saviour. Paul sought for a deliverer but found none until he met Jesus and his testimony changed. 

I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.... 
Romans 7:25



Dear reader, there is a void in your life that only Jesus can fill. Perfect happiness and peace is found only in Jesus. Jesus is the solution to your restlessness. He's got joy and peace in stall for you. The misery of sin will be done away with only at the fool of the cross. 


Now if you've read that and you want to avail yourself of this love God has for you by surrendering your life to Him, say these words of prayers in your heart;

"Dear Lord, I come to you today. I know my shortcomings and sins. I surrender to you today. I appropriate the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for my sins. Wash me clean Lord and make me your child as from today. Amen.


Congratulations.... You are now a child of God. Study the Bible and live by its principles.

COME TO JESUS AND BE HEALED!

BEYOND MERE EXISTENCE

Why does it seem so easy To slowly grow so cold, To lose that fire we once had known That burned within our souls?
