HOLD FAST YOUR INTEGRITY!











Integrity is an attribute of complete pureness and obedience to a given instruction. As Christians, daily, we will be faced with circumstances that suggests our refutal or negligence of the scriptural convictions and faith which we once professed.

But we must never let it go! Despite Job's affliction, even God testified that he held fast his integrity. 


Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

Job 2:9-10


Using the letters of the word INTEGRITY, there are nine ways we need to hold fast our integrity.

Let's look at them shortly:


I- IDENTITY - As a child of God, Jesus is our Identity. We must therefore not be ashamed to proclaim Him in evangelism and letting others know our stand. Let everyone know that you're a child of God. Don't hide your identity. Hebrews 4:14


N- NEWNESS - At salvation, we all became new men. Old life of sin must totally be abandoned so that we can retain the newness of Life in Christ. Rom. 6:4 "..., even so we also should walk in newness of life."


T - TRUTHFULNESS - Truth is an emblem of a regenerated life. Therefore, we must be known to tell the truth in all areas, even when situations arise that tempts us to falsify information against God's will. But we should hold on to the truth, because it will set us free.


E - ETERNITY - Heaven is the culmination of our Christian pursuit, therefore we must never let the sight of it get out of our minds, despite the mundane things of the world that surrounds us.


Revelation 3:11

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.


G - GODLINESS - Whenever you get into a situation where you need to make a crutial decision, ask yourself, WHAT WOULD JESUS DO IF HE WAS TO BE IN MY SHOES? The attributes and character of God should be our priority. Genesis 39:9.




R - RIGHTEOUSNESS - Job held unto his righteousness. Therefore at all times, prove what is right and do it. I Thess. 5:21.


My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live. Job 27:6


I - INSTRUCTIONS -

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:13


Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. 2 Thessalonians 2:15


T - TRUST IN GOD - Certian situations may arise that will shake our trust in God, but we must not give up. Faith in God is required to overcome all challenges, therefore we must never let it go. Heb. 3:6


Y - YIELDEDNESS - At salvation, we pledged our allegiance to Jesus, we are therefore yielded to Him. No matter the challenge, we must not shift our submission to any other god. 


Dear reader, Salvation is a gift from God, therefore hold it tightly in all the above areas.

COME TO JESUS AND BE HEALED!

BEYOND MERE EXISTENCE

Why does it seem so easy To slowly grow so cold, To lose that fire we once had known That burned within our souls?
