O believer, Ease not thyself! The race is long and far, Tarry not in the dungeon of despair, Lest your heart is worn out of repair. Bend not to the outer cravings, For it will Ease your heart beat for Christ. Daily beckon on fresh grace, That your heart may be greener with grace, Hearken not to the buzzling tempter, Lest he drains Christ's riches out of you. Dance not to every music of your thought, Lest you're taken to the den of the devil's thought, Ease not, your inner cogitation about Christ Lest you're lost from Christ's fresh wisdom. Ease not to bask in the Sun of Righteousness, Lukewarmness is knocking at the door of your heart, to lurk in there, Open not the door, instead cry for the dew of heaven to fall on your heart. Your inner cry should be, "Oh Lord! Make not my soul, a wandering bird cast out of its nest, Let not my branches be stretched out over the sea and your gladness...
